Asahi Europe Ltd has production operations in Italy, the Netherlands and the UK; and sales and distribution operations in Canada, USA and France. Our global distribution network, Asahi Premium Brands, covers many other countries in Europe along with Africa, Asia and Latin America. .

United Kingdom

Asahi UK Ltd is the UK and Ireland subsidiary of Asahi Europe Ltd. Asahi UK has responsibility for the development of Asahi Europe’s Super Premium Beer brands across the UK and Ireland. Our brands include Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Asahi Super Dry, our Belgian abbey beer St Stefanus, Pilsner Urquell, Kozel, as well as Polish brands Lech and Tyskie.

Asahi Europe is headquartered in Woking, UK.

The Asahi Europe office is home to a small number of essential functions which support the country operations. These include Finance, Procurement, Legal, Technical, Corporate Affairs and the Global Brands Team.

Meantime was founded in Greenwich, London back in 1999 by Alastair Hook. Meantime are now one of, if not the largest craft brewers in the UK and release more than 40 different beer styles each year.

The Netherlands

Royal Grolsch is a company with a rich history dating back to 1615. The brewer is based in Enschede and focuses on the premium segment of the market, placing the strong Grolsch brand with its iconic swing-top bottle at centre stage.

Ireland

Asahi UK Ltd is the UK and Ireland subsidiary of Asahi Europe Ltd. Asahi UK has responsibility for the development of Asahi Europe’s Super Premium Beer brands across the UK and Ireland. Our brands include Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Asahi Super Dry, our Belgian abbey beer St Stefanus, Pilsner Urquell, Kozel, as well as Polish brands Lech and Tyskie.

France

Asahi France is the French branch of Asahi Europe, created in 1995 by Grolsch and based in Paris. The company consists of a dynamic team of 20+ employees and is responsible for building the Asahi premium brand portfolio (Grolsch, Peroni, Asahi Super Dry, St Stefanus, Meantime) in on and off premise.

Italy

Birra Peroni was born in Vigevano in 1846 and is an icon of Made in Italy in the world. The annual production of Birra Peroni is 6 million hectolitres, brewed in Rome, Bari and Padova, of which over one million are exported.

Canada

Asahi Canada is a subsidiary of Asahi Europe Ltd. Asahi Canada has responsibility for the development of Asahi Europe’s Super Premium Beer brands across the Canada. Our brands include Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Grolsch, Pilsner Urquell, Kozel, as well as Polish brands Lech and Tyskie.

USA

Asahi Beer U.S.A., Inc. is headquartered in Torrance, California and commercialises Asahi Super Dry as well as the Black and Select variants in the USA.

Meantime was founded in Greenwich, London back in 1999 by Alastair Hook. Not just your average beer-lover, Alastair was the first person in the UK to get a Master’s degree in Brewing, and was voted Brewer of the Year in 2008. With a vision to change the way people think about beer, and at a time when there were all but two operating breweries left in London, he set up Meantime Brewing Company. Inspired by London’s longstanding brewing traditions, and the technology and innovation of the modern craft beer movement he’d witnessed in the U.S, Alastair started us off on our mission to brew proper beer.

Meantime was founded in Greenwich, London back in 1999 by Alastair Hook. When he set up Meantime Brewing Company with a vision to change the way people think about beer, there were all but two operating breweries left in London. Inspired by London’s longstanding brewing tradition and the technology and innovation of the Modern Craft Beer movement in the US, Alastair started us off on our mission to brew proper beer. We travel the world to source the best ingredients and spend around six weeks brewing each of our beers to make sure the complex flavours have the time they need to fully develop. We arel based at our brewery in Greenwich, London.
